Clothing selection steps
In terms of size:
Before buying clothes for pets, the first step is to measure their body size, especially paying attention to the dimensions of three parts. However, the measurements of the three dimensions of pets are completely different from those of humans. From the perspective of pets, their three dimensions should include neck circumference, chest circumference, and body length.
Neck circumference: refers to the circumference of the neck of a pet dog, which is the circumference of the position where the collar is usually worn. This position is where the collar of a piece of clothing is located, and the collar should not be too loose or too narrow. Generally, at least 1-1.5 centimeters should be reserved for measurement.
Chest circumference: refers to the circumference of the widest part of a pet dog's front leg at the base. Usually, this is also the fattest place for pet dogs. Due to the thick fur and abundant meat in this area, it is difficult to ensure the accuracy of measurement. Generally, at least 2-3 centimeters should be reserved for measurement.
Body length: refers to the overall length of a pet dog's body. It is the length from the back of the neck (base of the back neck) to the base of the tail of a pet dog. It should be noted that when measuring body length, your pet dog must stand up straight and fully spread out, otherwise lying down will affect the accuracy of the measurement scale.
When measuring all dimensions, it is possible to repeat the measurement at least twice, as dogs may not cooperate well and their bodies may twist. Repeat twice to ensure accuracy
When measuring, do not press down on the fur, gently stick it against the pet dog's fur, because after putting on the clothes, the fur will also take up space. If no space is reserved, the clothes may be too small, and the pet dog may feel uncomfortable wearing them.
In terms of color:
Color selection is not based on color. For example, if the dog is black, try to avoid buying black clothes as much as possible, and avoid buying clothes with black edges. Dark dogs can wear light colors, including light red, light blue, and light yellow. Light colored dogs are versatile. A black dog is okay as long as its clothes are not black.
In terms of fabric: It is recommended to use natural fabrics such as pure cotton and pure wool for dog clothing, which can reduce skin allergies, itching, and other issues to a certain extent, and also reduce the damage of static electricity to dog fur.
In terms of odor: Do not buy clothes with an unpleasant odor. Also, do not buy items that are prone to fading. Dogs like to bite and lick things, and if their clothes are poisonous, it can cause harm to them. Buying clothes is not afraid of being cheap, even if the texture is poor, not fading, and having no taste is the most important.
be careful
1. The elasticity should be moderate. Choose dog clothes that fit well. If they are too tight, the dog will feel uncomfortable, and if they are too loose, they will not provide warmth. In short, they fit well.
2. Avoid wearing it for a long time. Don't dress your dog for a long time. Put it on when you go out and take it off when you come back to avoid tangling, itching, and other problems.
